IPC Shopping Centre, a premier shopping destination located in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, is set to broaden its retail and culinary horizons with the introduction of MR DIY Plus as its new anchor tenant and a host of new food and beverage (F&B) offerings. This development, announced by Ikano Corp Sdn Bhd, marks a significant step towards enriching the consumer experience and catering to the diverse tastes of its patrons.
MR DIY Plus is slated to open its doors this quarter, joining the ranks of esteemed anchor tenants such as Benโs Independent Grocer, Harvey Norman, and Spotlight. Occupying an expansive space of 23,779 square feet, the 4-in-1 concept store will bring together brands like EMTOP, MR DIY, MR Dollar, and MR Toy under one roof. The store’s European high street concept design, featuring an interactive wall, eco-corner, and childrenโs workshop, promises a unique and engaging shopping experience for all ages.
The culinary scene at IPC Shopping Centre is also poised for an exciting expansion with the upcoming launch of several F&B outlets. New additions include Canton Boy, Mr Vegan, Pezzo Pizza, BabaBoy, BananaBro, Bread History & Sandwich Box, KPOP Madang, Taste of Medan, Noodle King House, and a Western restaurant featuring a bar concept next to Canton Boy. These establishments will complement the existing F&B lineup, which includes popular brands like Jom Cha by Farm Fresh, Squid Boy, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Mee Tarik Warisan, introduced last year.
Karyn Lim, General Manager of IPC Shopping Centre, emphasized the importance of curating the right tenant mix for the success of the shopping centre. “Our vision extends beyond occupancy; we aim to create a better everyday life for many people by fostering an experiential shopping atmosphere. Our balanced mix of lifestyle, dining, and retail options is designed to transform IPC Shopping Centre into a quintessential destination that transcends traditional retail spaces,” she stated.
In addition to introducing new tenants, IPC Shopping Centre has embarked on innovative transformations of its spaces. The Level 1 Link Bridge has been repurposed to house the Trรคffas Work Pods, fully furnished private work pods that offer versatility for various uses, from photo/recording studios to study corners. The Link Bridge space is also adaptable for pop-up stores, community bazaars, or exhibitions. Plans are underway to convert part of the ground floor’s alfresco area into a glasshouse, further enhancing the centre’s aesthetic appeal and functionality.
“These transformations reflect our commitment to elevating the shopping experience at IPC Shopping Centre,” Lim added. “By strategically curating our tenant mix and leveraging our infrastructure, we aim to distinguish ourselves from competitors and attract a wider audience. This approach is integral to driving increased footfall and ensuring sustained business growth.”
As IPC Shopping Centre continues to evolve, it reaffirms its status as a dynamic and preferred shopping and dining destination in Mutiara Damansara, promising an enriched experience for visitors and a thriving environment for its tenants.
