Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur

Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur, located within the ambitious KL Midtown development, is slated for a grand opening in 2025, as announced by KL Midtown Sdn Bhd director David Khor during the topping-out ceremony of the hotel. This project is a collaboration between Hap Seng Land Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Hap Seng Consolidated Bhd, and TTDI KL Metropolis Sdn Bhd, under Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd.

Initiated in December 2021, the topping-out ceremony symbolizes a major progression, marking the completion of the superstructure. The focus now shifts to the interior fit-out, which includes 306 hotel rooms, 104 service suites, a lobby, an expansive grand ballroom, event venues, and two specialty restaurants, all under the renowned management of Hyatt Regency.

Adjacent to the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (Mitec), Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur is ideally positioned to cater to event participants and visitors. “Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur will be strategically located to serve attendees and visitors to the various exhibitions and events hosted by Mitec,” Khor emphasized.

Hap Seng Consolidated Bhd chairman Thomas Karl Rapp highlighted the enduring partnership with the Hyatt Group, noting that the Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur represents the second venture following the success of Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu.

KL Midtown, spanning 8.95 acres with a freehold status, is envisioned as a RM5 billion gross development value mixed-use project featuring Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur, corporate and signature office towers, a residential tower, and a retail mall. The development boasts two Grade A, 19-storey signature office towers and a 500,000 sq ft retail mall, anchored by Aeon Co (M) Bhd, with completion expected by the end of 2025. Further announcements regarding the residential and corporate towers are anticipated.

This significant development underscores KL Midtown’s ambition to become a premier destination for both business and leisure, enhancing Kuala Lumpur’s standing as a dynamic city.
