Malaysia is on track to launch its first AI supercomputer by the third quarter of 2025, powered by the revolutionary NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchip — a key milestone that cements the country’s ambition to become a regional AI innovation hub. The system will be hosted on the NVIDIA DGX Cloud and deployed at YTL Power’s 500MW Green Data Centre Campus in Johor.
This landmark project is spearheaded by YTL Power International Bhd, in strategic collaboration with NVIDIA, and will provide the computing backbone for Malaysia’s sovereign large language model (LLM) known as ILMU 1.0.

“This AI cloud infrastructure will serve as the foundation for the country’s sovereign AI and will power Malaysia’s very own LLM, ILMU 1.0,” said Datuk Seri Yeoh Seok Hong, Managing Director of YTL Power.
