Aset Kayamas and GENM Collaborate to Launch Genting Xintiandi: A Transformative Mixed-Use Development in Gohtong Jaya

Situated at an altitude of 914.4m (3,000ft) above sea level in Gohtong Jaya, Genting Xintiandi brings forward a mixed-use development centred around Live Work Play.

Spanning across 24.3ha (60 acres), Genting Xintiandi is a mixed-commercial hub with service apartments, hotels, bus terminals and commercial space jointly developed by Genting Malaysia Bhd (GENM) and Aset Kayamas.

The development consists of 37- to 60-storey high-rise buildings with a panoramic view of the city skyline.

It is strategically located five minutes away from Genting Highlands Premium Outlets and 15 minutes from Resorts World Genting.

With an accessible location and the potential to become an urban metropolis, it stands to benefit the surrounding community.

To spur the development, Genting Xintiandi sales gallery was launched by Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail in Gohtong Jaya on May 25.

The sales gallery will better serve customers and showcase the development to its fullest potential.

During the launch, Wan Rosdy said with its strategic location, this new development will be able to drive economic growth, which can benefit everyone.

“I hope that through this development in Genting Highlands, it will be able to boost the tourism industry, which is one of the main industries in Pahang.

“This development aims to create a different and attractive urban town in terms of visual quality for the Genting Permai area in the future.

“By doing so, this development not only forms a panoramic view of the ‘skyline’ or a landmark that is consistent with the character of the surrounding growth but also highlights the modern design image and identity of the area,” he said in his speech.

The development consists of eight phases with Phase 1 now open for viewing at the sales gallery.

Phase 1 features four towers of fully furnished service apartments, with 2,600 units designed with the needs of the diverse homebuyers in mind.

It comes in three types – Type A has a built-up size of 42.2 sq m (454 sq ft) with one bedroom and one bathroom, Type B has a built-up size of 63.8 sq m (687 sq ft) with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and Type C has a built-up size of 90.4 sq m (973 sq ft) with three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Phases 2A and 2B will also include service apartments and business space while Phase 3, located in the centre of the site, has been proposed as a commercial hub consisting of a bus terminal, hotel and business space.

Phases 4, 5, 6 and 8 have been planned as service apartments, while Phase 7, facing the main road, will be developed as service apartments and business space as well.

Genting Xintiandi Sdn Bhd chairman Lee Thiam Kit believes this project will definitely provide various job and business opportunities for the local people.

He said it can even create a multiplying effect that can have a positive impact on the economic growth and development of the surrounding area and the state.

“The launch of the Genting Xintiandi Sales Gallery proves our commitment to develop Genting Highlands as a modern metropolitan city.

“GENM and Aset Kayamas would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the Pahang state government and local authorities for the support given to implement the project,” he said.

Aset Kayamas executive director Michael Chai said through the whole project, they are expecting to have not less than RM20bil in gross development value (GDV).

“We will be having service apartments, retail, entertainment hub and planning an arena, and few more things with the main attraction.

“The whole development is expected to take around 15 years to complete, and the project is freehold. We are targeting those who often come to Genting Highlands,” he said.

GENM and Aset Kayamas are confident Genting Xintiandi will gain positive response from homebuyers and investors, due to its strategic location and exceptional amenities.
