In a significant move set to bolster Malaysiaโs tourism and economic sectors, NCT Alliance Bhd (NCT) has unveiled its latest development, the Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel in Genting Highlands. Marking a pivotal milestone, the initiative is further enhanced by a strategic partnership with the globally renowned Hard Rock International, heralding the inauguration of a Hard Rock Cafe atop the hotel.
Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy, Executive Chairman and Group Managing Director of NCT, expressed optimism about the project’s potential to elevate the tourism offerings in Genting Highlands, a magnet for both local and international visitors. “This development is not just an investment in infrastructure but a contribution towards enriching Malaysia’s tourism landscape and stimulating the national economy,” Yap elucidated.
The collaboration is timely, as Genting Highlands continues to experience robust demand for properties, driven by its enduring appeal as a tourist destination. Sae-Yap Atthakovit, NCTโs Non-Executive Director, observed, “The region’s property market is on an upward trajectory, buoyed by continuous development and the influx of foreign investments, promising not only capital appreciation but also generating substantial employment opportunities.”
The Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel, boasting a grand gross development value of RM1.6 billion, is poised for a soft launch in the upcoming quarter. Strategically located at an elevation of 6,000 feet, the hotel seamlessly blends hospitality with retail and dining experiences, setting a new standard in luxury hospitality. Yapโs vision for the hotel centers around offering an unparalleled experience for visitors, enhancing Genting Highlands’ stature as a premier travel destination.
With plans to add approximately 17,800 sq ft of retail space, the Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel aims to enrich the visitor experience further. The hotel itself will feature 850 rooms spread across 50 floors, encompassing a range of accommodations from studio rooms to expansive suites, all within proximity to key attractions like the Genting Skyway and the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets.
The introduction of the new Hard Rock Cafe, occupying about 5,000 sq ft, coupled with the hotelโs luxury accommodations, underscores NCTโs commitment to contributing to Genting Highlands’ allure. This development not only promises to enhance Malaysiaโs tourism appeal but also sets the stage for sustainable economic growth in the region.
