China’s Zhejiang UNITY Technology Co. Ltd. has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Malaysia’s NCT Group of Companies, paving the way for the establishment of a new facility within the NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) located in Sepang, Selangor. This collaboration represents a significant milestone for both parties and positions NSIP as an enticing destination for foreign investments in the semiconductor industry.
NSIP is a prominent development within the Integrated Development Region of southern Selangor and holds the distinction of being Malaysia’s first certified managed industrial park. The MOU underscores the commitment to mutual growth and advancement between NCT Group and Zhejiang UNITY Technology.
According to Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy, the founder and managing director of NCT Group, the semiconductor industry is at the core of modern technology. He expressed the belief that NSIP is well-prepared to capitalize on the opportunities presented by this industry. Beyond the positive outcomes for NCT Group, this partnership enables contributions to Selangor’s economic development and the nurturing of a thriving semiconductor industry in Southeast Asia.
