To accommodate the thousands of football fans attending the 2024 FA Cup final between Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and Selangor, the Bukit Jalil LRT station will extend its operating hours until 1am on Sunday, August 25. The highly anticipated match is set to kick off at 9pm on Saturday at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.
Extended Operating Hours and Additional Trains
Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd (Rapid Rail) has announced that extra trains will be deployed immediately after the match to ensure that passengers can return home smoothly and comfortably. While the Bukit Jalil station will remain open until 1am, other stations on the LRT network will close at their usual times. However, passengers will still be able to exit at those stations to complete their journeys.
โAll interchange stations will also extend their operating hours, allowing passengers to transfer and reach their final destinations without disruption,โ Rapid Rail said in a statement on Thursday, August 22.
Travel Tips for Passengers
Rapid Rail is advising passengers to use Touch ‘n Go cards for a quicker and more convenient journey, helping to reduce congestion. For those using tokens, it is recommended to purchase return tokens in advance to avoid long queues after the match.
Passengers are also encouraged to take advantage of the Park Nโ Ride facilities available at selected stations for added convenience.
